Vol. 454 No. 6

Written Answers. - Outdoor Education Centres.

Rory O'Hanlon

Question:

146 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Education when she expects to have the report on the review of the operation and effectiveness of the existing vocational education committees operating outdoor education centres; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [11302/95]

The question of the most effective means of carrying out the review of existing outdoor education centres operated by the vocational education committees is being considered in my Department at present.

John Ellis

Question:

147 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Education if she will provide funds for the completion of landscaping at St. Edward's national school, County Sligo; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [11340/95]

What is in question here is additional landscaping for the development of a football pitch at St. Edward's national school. My Department does not grant-aid such work.

Grant-aid is made available in respect of hard surface playing facilities and in this regard adequate facilities have been provided at St. Edward's.
