79 Mr. Leonard asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry his Department's regulations regarding how a quota should be divided when the land division is other than 50/50 and where there is a joint purchase of land with an attached milk quota; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The legal position in relation to the attachment of milk quota to land is set down in Regulation 4 of the European Communities (Milk Quota) Regulations 1994, S.I. No. 70 of 1994. Where land to which milk quota attaches is transferred, the quota automatically transfers by process of law. The land to which milk quota attaches is specified under the regulations.
