21 Kathleen Lynch asked the Minister for Defence the progress, if any, made in reviewing the Defence Forces grievance procedure since officials of his Department last met with PDFORRA on 12 May 1995; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11519/95]
The procedures for dealing with grievances in the Defence Forces are at present being reviewed by a sub-committee of the Permanent Defence Force Concilation Council. Officials of my Department again met with PDFORRA representatives on Tuesday 13 June 1995. A number of proposals made by the association at that meeting have been incorporated into a further draft discussion document which is under consideration in the Department at present. I am aware that a large measure of agreement has been reached and that it is hoped to resolve this issue shortly.
