Vol. 455 No. 2

Written Answers. - Public Service Agency Posts.

Rory O'Hanlon

Question:

85 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs the number of both new and vacant posts in public service agencies under his aegis other than posts in the Civil Service approved since 1 January 1995; the number of such posts approved by him; the number approved since 1 May 1995; and the number and date of such approvals since 1 June 1995. [11856/95]

In the period 1 January to 30 April 1995 three new posts were created in agencies under the responsibility of the Department of Foreign Affairs and one post became vacant as a result of a resignation. No new or vacant posts arose in agencies under the auspices of the Office of the Tánaiste during this period.

No new posts have been created since 1 May 1995 in any of the agencies under the responsibility of the Department of Foreign Affairs or of the Office of the Tánaiste. Two vacancies have arisen in this period, both since 1 June 1995, the two vacancies are due to the transfer of employees to other Government Departments and will be filled in the normal way.
