Vol. 455 No. 2

Written Answers. - Construction Projects.

Ivor Callely

Question:

101 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Finance the total number and value of Government-contracted building works which are under construction or approved at present; the total moneys spent on professional fees for such projects; the projects that were put out for tender; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11956/95]

The total number of major contracted building projects currently under construction is 36 and are valued at IR£89 million. Of this, approximately IR£8 million is in respect of professional fees to outside consultants. These figures are necessarily approximate in the time available and should the Deputy require more precise figures he can have them on request within a reasonable time period.

In addition to these projects many minor contracts are in progress to which there may be professional fees attached. However, information in regard to these minor projects is not readily available at such short notice.
