Vol. 455 No. 3

Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy O'Rourke — the need to make public the decision on the Competition Authority's interim report on the newspaper industry; (2) Deputy Cowen — the effect of the escalating dispute between the Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry and vets on the health status and reputation of the national herd; (3) Deputy Joe Walsh — the need to intervene on behalf of Irish Press workers to secure social welfare payments for them; (4) Deputy Broughan — the need to ensure continued funding of St. Benedict's Resource Centre, Kilbarrack, Dublin 13, in view of its excellent work in the past two years and (5) Deputy Mary Wallace — the lack of public transport accessible to people with disabilities in Dublin. Three of the matters raised are in order and have been selected accordingly. Members will be called in the following order: Deputies Broughan, O'Rourke and Cowen.
