Question:158 Mr. Shatter asked the Minister for the Environment when construction will commence on the Southern Cross Route; the projected date for the completion of the route; the reason for the continuing delay in construction commencing; the steps, if any, he proposes taking to ensure the current difficulties relating to the construction of the route are resolved expeditiously; and his views on whether the delay in construction commencing could result in a loss of EC structural funds designated for the route.
