172 Mr. M. Kitt asked the Minister for the Environment the current position on a preliminary report by Galway County Council on the sewerage scheme for Monivea, in view of the tourist potential of this village; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13149/95]

There is no proposal from Galway County Council with my Department for a sewerage scheme at this location.

173 Mr. M. Kitt asked the Minister for the Environment when his Department will be requesting Galway County Council to submit tenders for the Williamstown sewerage scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13150/95]

I have recently authorised Galway County Council to invite tenders for the construction of this scheme with a view to its early commencement.
