Vol. 455 No. 8

Written Answers. - Third Level Fees.

Willie O'Dea

Question:

187 Mr. O'Dea asked the Minister for Education if the free fees scheme for third level students will apply to students at Limerick Senior College, Mulgrane, Limerick; if not, the reason therefor; and the exact perimeters of the scheme. [12687/95]

My decision to abolish fees applies to full-time undergraduate students attending publicly funded and certain other designated third level institutions. As Limerick Senior College is a second level vocational school, students studying there do not qualify for assistance under the third level student support schemes or under the initiative for the abolition of third level undergraduate fees.
