Vol. 455 No. 8

Written Answers. - Provision of Additional Classrooms.

Brendan Kenneally

Question:

194 Mr. Kenneally asked the Minister for Education when extra classrooms will be provided to replace out of date prefabricated buildings at a school (details supplied) in County Waterford; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [12858/95]

The school referred to by the Deputy has been included in my Department's 1995 Capital Building Programme.

The accommodation needs at the school are currently being examined and I have arranged for my Department's primary buildings inspector to visit the school during the week commencing 18 September 1995 in order to finalise the accommodation brief. As soon as the brief is finalised my Department will be in contact with the school authorities to organise the execution of the project. At this stage, I cannot give a realistic estimate as to when the work will be completed.
