Vol. 455 No. 8

Written Answers. - Street Trading.

Tony Gregory

Question:

260 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice the reason goods were not returned to a street trader (details supplied) in Dublin 1. [12935/95]

I have been informed by the Garda authorities that the property referred to by the Deputy is being retained pending the disposal of proceedings against one other person charged with the same offence. Efforts to locate this person are ongoing.

I am further informed by the Garda authorities that when these proceedings have been disposed of, the Garda will not oppose the return of the property to the persons concerned.
