Written Answers. - Job Creation Statistics.

Ivor Callely

Question:

337 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment the number of new jobs which were created in the Crumlin/Driminagh area of Dublin in view of the 4,800 new jobs which were created by the Industrial Development Authority through overseas companies in the first six months of 1995; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13180/95]

The number of new jobs created through IDA Ireland assisted overseas companies are recorded on a regional basis.

In the first six months of 1995 (i.e. January-June inclusive), it is estimated that 2,225 new jobs were created in County Dublin.
