138 Mr. Hughes asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will approve the appointment a development officer for Innisbiggle Island, as in the case of Clare Island, his services to be shared with several other small islands if necessary. [13918/95]

An application for funding to employ a development worker has been received in my Department from Inishbiggle Community Council. The application is being considered at present and the council will be informed of the outcome as soon as possible.
