99 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give details of the application for grant-aid by the local authority concerned in respect of surface flood measures for Clonakilty, County Cork; the application in particular for the eastern end of the town; when the application was received by his Department; and when he will approve the application for grant-aid. A proposal to provide a surface water drainage scheme for the eastern end of Clonakilty, at an estimated cost of £87,000, was received in my Department on 19 April 1995. Having regard to the high level of demands under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve it.
