Vol. 457 No. 1

Written Answers. - Garda Measures Following Alleged Rapes.

Seán Kenny

Question:

143 Mr. S. Kenny asked the Minister for Justice the additional measures, if any, being taken by the Garda to deal with the five reported cases of alleged rape in north-east Dublin in the past three months; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [14879/95]

I refer the Deputy to my reply of 20 September 1995 to the parliamentary question put down for answer by Deputy Haughey regarding two of the rapes in question. All the incidents referred to by the Deputy are the subject of intensive Garda investigations and every effort is being made to bring the investigations to a satisfactory conclusion.
