Question:

118 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason Kerry is not included under the proposed new EU scheme for payment of £30 per head of sheep in excess of sheep quota in view of the fact that all other western seaboard counties are included; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15160/95]

The lands held in common ownership in the district electoral divisions of Brandon and Cloghane in County Kerry are included as eligible areas for the purposes of the supplementary measures dealing with degraded areas in the Rural Environment Protection Scheme (REPS). A list of the eligible areas relating to this supplementary measure is attached for the Deputy's information.
