Question:105 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he intends to introduce legislation to license commercial dogbreeding establishments, more commonly known as puppy farms; and if in the meantime he will instruct officials in his Department to carry out an investigation into this factory farming of dogs to ascertain if there is a case to be made for banning these establishments from carrying out their business on grounds of extreme cruelty.
