118 Mr. M. Kitt asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht the proposals, if any, there are to provide a replica of the High Cross provided in the town of Tuam, County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15487/95]

I understand that the High Cross was relocated from a site on the square to the interior of St. Mary's Cathedral, Tuam, in 1992 for its protection and preservation. There are no plans at present to provide a replica of the High Cross in Tuam.
