Written Answers. - School Transport.

Noel Treacy

Question:

140 Mr. N. Treacy asked the Minister for Education the reason she has not sanctioned special school transport for a person (details supplied) in County Galway; if her attention has been drawn to the gravity of this situation; if she will direct the transport division of her Department to sanction this facility; the date on which she expects sanction; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [15468/95]

This case is currently under examination by my Department, with particular attention to the needs of the child, and what arrangements, if any, could be made with regard to school transport. My Department will communicate with the Deputy, and inform him of the outcome as soon as the investigation has been completed.
