90 Mr. Leonard asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the steps, if any, which are being taken to encourage the production of grass seed as an alternative farm enterprise in view of the substantial imports. [15692/95]

The EU scheme of financial aid for grass seed production continues to be available and is paid to Irish producers by my Department.

Teagasc's advisory service provides information and advice on grass seed production.
