Vol. 457 No. 6

Written Answers. - Court Order Payments.

Noel Ahern

Question:

87 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Justice if she will amend the regulations in relation to payments made under court orders in the Family Law Courts, Dolphin House, Dublin and allow payments to be made by direct debit standing orders rather than having persons make cash payments. [15883/95]

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that administrative arrangements are being put in place in the Family Law Office, Dolphin House, Dublin, to allow for payments to be made by standing order in family law cases. No statutory amendment is required to facilitate this arrangement.

The computer system currently in operation in the Family Law Office does not allow for payment by direct debit.
