Byrne asked the Minister for Tourism and Trade if he has received a copy of the analysis carried out by IBEC regarding the problems being experienced by Irish exporters in EU markets; the steps, if any, he intends taking regarding the analysis; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have not yet received the specific details underlying IBEC's analysis earlier this year into the problems being experienced by Irish exporters in EU markets.
On receipt of the necessary information from IBEC, my Department will vigorously pursue all valid complaints with the member states concerned and with the EU Commission, as appropriate.
