Vol. 458 No. 8
152 Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for Justice when a person (details supplied) in Dublin 8 will be able to purchase her ground rent; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [17911/95]
I am informed by the registrar of titles that there is no record of any application pending in the Land Registry for purchase of ground rent in relation to the address and the name of the person supplied by the Deputy.
If the Deputy wishes me to pursue the matter with the Land Registry further, perhaps he could write to me with more details, such as the date of lodgement of the application in the Land Registry and the relevant reference number.
I should, perhaps, mention that the Land Registry takes about six weeks to process an application for purchase of ground rent in routine cases. However, where the ground rent landlord does not consent to the terms of the purchase application or where queries arise, the time required will be of the order of three to six months.
