Vol. 459 No. 3

Written Answers. - Donegal Sewerage Scheme.

Noel Dempsey

Question:

115 Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for the Environment when the picturesque fishing towns of Moville/Greencastle and Inishowen in County Donegal will receive finance for a long-awaited sewerage scheme to stop raw sewage being pumped into a small stream running along the back of two streets in Moville and directly into the River Foyle, at points on the piers very close to watersport centres, a situation that is both domestically and environmentally damaging. [18095/95]

My Department is awaiting the submission by Donegal County Council of a revised preliminary report for this scheme. This will be examined as soon as it is received.
