179 Ms M. Fox asked the Minister for Defence the proposals, if any, he has to inspect and, where necessary, make safe the lands required by Wicklow County Council at Knickeen Ford, in The Glen of Imaal, to enable the West Wicklow water scheme to proceed. [18656/95]
On 9 November 1995 following a meeting with a deputation of public representatives and officials of Wicklow County Council, I undertook to have the safety implications of siting a dam at Knickeen Ford re-examined. I am awaiting the technical military report in the matter which is expected shortly.
