Vol. 459 No. 6

Written Answers. - Special School Placement.

Róisín Shortall

Question:

118 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Education if she will have arrangements made to place a person (details supplied) in Dublin 9 in a special school which is suited to his needs; and if she will ensure that whatever difficulties exist between her Department and the school in question are resolved in order that this child can be placed immediately. [18480/95]

I am aware of the case to which the Deputy refers.

I want to assure the Deputy that my Department's officials are actively engaged in seeking to arrange an appropriate educational placement which will meet the special needs of the child in question.
