Vol. 459 No. 7

Written Answers. - Ballymore (Westmeath) Garda Station.

Willie Penrose

Question:

62 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Finance when the Office of Public Works will erect a proper boundary fence around the Garda barracks at Ballymore, County Westmeath, in order to separate these lands fully from the adjoining landholders; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18856/95]

This matter has been referred to us by the Department of Justice and is being investigated.

We are aware of the concerns raised by a neighbouring landowner about the condition of fencing around the Garda station. We are seeking legal advice on certain aspects of this and once that advice has been received, we will communicate directly with the adjoining owner.
