Question:93 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for the Environment the names of individuals, groups or companies which have undertaken or have been approved to undertake full-time, part-time or casual consultancies, reviews, examinations or analysis, apart from public relations services, on his behalf or on behalf of Minister(s) of State at his Department; the total cost to date in 1995 for each contract; when the work is likely to be completed; and the estimated cost for the full job. I propose to take Questions Nos. 92 and 93 together.
No firms have been engaged by my Department for the provision of public relations services since my appointment as Minister. Information on consultancies etc. commissioned by my Department since my appointment is set out in the following table.
In addition, ten graphic design consultants were engaged to prepare designs for a total of 47 departmental publications etc. Payments to date in 1995 total £29,954 with overall project costs estimated at £36,853. Most projects are now completed; the remainder will be completed early in 1996.
