134 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the number of Bills published by his Department for each of the years 1992 to date in 1995; the titles of the Bills; the number of these Bills that were passed by both Houses of the Oireachtas; if he has satisfied himself with progress in 1995; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18693/95]

The Bills published from 1992 to date in 1995 are as follows:

1. The National Stud (Amendment) Bill, 1993

2. The Greyhound Industry (Amendment) Bill, 1993

3. Animal Remedies Bill, 1993

4. The Irish Horseracing Industry Bill, 1994

5. The Milk (Regulation of Supply) Bill, 1994
6. An Bord Bia Bill, 1994
7. An Bord Bia (Amendment) Bill, 1995
They have all been passed by both Houses of the Oireachtas.
Also, in 1995, intensive work was carried out on the preparation of the Control of Wandering Horses in Urban Areas Bill and on the new Greyhound Industry Bill. Both Bills will be submitted to Government very shortly.
Up to 40 EU Directives, most of them relating to animal health and welfare, animal feedingstuffs, meat hygiene and plant health, were transposed into national law during 1995.
