In May 1993 some of the staff from land services division of my Department were seconded on a temporary basis to arable aid division in order to ensure efficient processing of claims and payments of grants under the arable aid scheme. This resulted in a backlog of work in land services division.
It has only recently proved possible to redeploy staff back to land services division. Every effort is now being made to have the backlog cleared at the earliest possible date.
