71 Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Health when a decision will be made on the application by the Western Health Board, in relation to University College Hospital, Galway, for funding for the provision of additional beds, extended accidents-emergency departments with observation wards, the provision of additional X-ray facilities and additional theatres. , Limerick East): I am pleased to inform the Deputy that the design team for this project is proceeding satisfactorily with the planning process for interim development works at the hospital which will include the various provisions mentioned. It is anticipated that tenders will be invited in early 1996.
