Vol. 460 No. 4

Request to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 30.

I request leave to move the adjournment of the Dáil for the purpose of discussing a specific and important matter of public concern, namely, the further fatal attacks on the elderly, recent armed robberies and the Minister's failure to respond to escalating criminality.

Having considered the matter fully I do not consider it to be one contemplated by the Standing Order and, therefore, cannot grant leave to move the motion. In accordance with the procedures of the House there are many ways open to Deputies to raise such matters.
