Question:

44 Mr. Callely asked the Taoiseach the total value of exports to the United Kingdom in 1994; the percentage of this total represented by the drinks industry; if he will give a breakdown of this figure; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1543/96]

The total value of exports to the United Kingdom in 1994 was £6,348 million. The drinks industry represented 2.2 per cent of this total. The breakdown of drinks exported is as follows:
