Brendan Smith

Question:

247 Mr. B. Smith asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the number of applications by county received to date in respect of the dairy hygiene scheme; and the number of approvals issued. [1981/96]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 51, 229 and 247 together. I have set out in the table I am circulating, the information requested by the Deputies. Payments, which are made on foot of approved completed work, are fully up to date. The bulk of the applications were approved in the latter half of 1995. In the normal course of events work would now be in progress on these projects.
