Vol. 461 No. 2

Written Answers. - Kenmare (Kerry) Office.

John O'Donoghue

Question:

114 Mr. O'Donoghue asked the Minister for Social Welfare when it is intended to open a full-time social welfare office/labour exchange in Kenmare, County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2678/96]

The Social Welfare local office in Kenmare is currently open to the public on one day a week and provides an information service as well as claim-taking and signing facilities for unemployed people in the area. Arrangements are being made to extend this to a full time service and I expect to have the service in operation very shortly.
