Question:

48 Mr. S. Brennan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs the various costs involved in the administration of the Office of the Tánaiste; the staff numbers at December 1995 compared to December 1994; and the respective amounts of expenditure involved. [3186/96]

The gross administration costs of the Office of the Tánaiste in 1994 was £827,000. The comparative sum for 1995 is provisionally estimated at £898,000.

The office had 23 staff members in December 1994 and 23 in December 1995.
