Question:121 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for the Environment the reason the increase of 1 per cent was not awarded to analogous grades in local authorities; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3030/96]
Written Answers. - Non-Payment of Increase.
It is a matter for each group of employees whether to submit a claim for the payment of 1 per cent allowed for under clause 2 (iv) of Annex 1—"Application to the Public Service of clause 2 of the Agreement on Pay, Conditions of Employment and Co-operation at the level of the Enterprise"— of the Programme for Competitiveness and Work.
Two recent claims are currently being processed by my Department.
