134 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the number of personnel working in his ministerial offices and the office of his Minister(s) of State; the number of personnel that have been seconded or employed on a non-established contract basis; the competition process for filling such positions; the advertisements, if any, made regarding these appointments; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry (Mr. Yates)

The information requested is as follows:

There are 15 personnel working in my office. Four of my staff have been seconded or employed on a non-established contract basis.

The number of personnel working in the Minister of State's office is 12. Three of his staff have been employed on a non-established contract basis.

The selection of advisers is a matter for each Government Minister and as such the posts were not advertised.
