Eoin Ryan

Question:

64 Mr. E. Ryan asked the Minister for Finance who will be appointed to the task force on Dublin's dockland; and the plans, if any, he has for local involvement. [3271/96]

The members of the Dublin Docklands Task Force have been appointed and are:

Brendan O'Donoghue

Department of the Environment (Chairman)

Derek Brady

Dublin Corporation

Enda Connellan

Dublin Port and Docks Board

Michael Guilfoyle

Department of the Marine

Senator Pat Magner

Chairman-Task Force on the Grand Canal

Pat Mangan

Department of Transport, Energy and Communications

Michael McKenna

Department of Enterprise and Employment

Donal McNally

Department of Finance

Donagh Morgan

Department of the Taoiseach

John McCarthy

Department of the Environment (Secretary)

The task force was established to report on arrangements which should be made to develop an overall master plan for the docklands area and to recommend on appropriate implementation and co-ordination arrangements. As part of this exercise the task force has invited submissions from a number of interests concerned and from local representatives and groups. Any arrangements put in place to develop a master plan in the light of the task force's report will provide for further local consultation on the detailed issues arising at that stage.
