Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case— (1) Deputy Batt O'Keeffe — the effect of the lack of public indemnity insurance on work experience for transition and post-leaving certificate students in community and comprehensive schools; (2) Deputy Shortall — the need to require primary and second level schools to notify the Department of Education of cases where children are expelled or refused entry; (3) Deputy Quill — the need to conduct a study of the link between illness and proximity to overhead electric cables and pylons; (4) Deputy O'Dea — the recent seizures in Dublin of the drug known as crack cocaine; (5) Deputy Lawlor — the health risks arising from proximity to high tension power lines and pylons, with particular reference to the findings of a report published by Bristol University; (6) Deputy Lynch — the need to standardise hourly wage rates for home help in all health board areas; (7) Deputy Leonard — the allocation of funding by the Department of Education under the recreational facilities scheme; (8) Deputy Theresa Ahearn — the need to designate as disadvantaged the Presentation Convent primary school, Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary.

The matters raised by Deputies Quill, Batt O'Keeffe, Leonard and O'Dea have been selected for discussion.
