147 Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for the Environment the advice, if any, received from the Department of Health on the health implications of long-term exposure to emissions from telesupport structures; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5101/96]
The position of the Minister for Health in this matter is set out in that Minister's reply to Question No. 113 of 30 January 1996. As indicated in the House previously, I have issued draft consultation guidelines on the planning issues arising in connection with communication masts for the guidance of planning authorities, operators and the general public. Interested parties were invited to comment on the draft guidelines before 29 February 1996. The guidelines, in their final form will issue as soon as possible after consideration of the comments received.
