Vol. 462 No. 5
161 Mr. Martin asked the Minister for Education whether there was any reduction in staffing numbers in the examination section of her Department in 1995 when the State examinations were being corrected. [4809/96]
When the State examinations were being corrected in 1995 there was a reduction of two members of staff from a total permanent staff of 85 in the examinations branch of my Department. One member of staff, a job sharing clerical assistant, resigned on 4 July and was replaced on 4 September and the other staff member, a higher executive officer, transferred from the branch on 4 August and was not replaced during the period in which the State examinations were being corrected.
