Question:198 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Justice when the vacant position of sergeant will be filled at a Garda station (details supplied) in County Cork. [5020/96]
Written Answers. - Garda Sergeant Vacancy.
The Garda authorities are responsible for the detailed allocation of Garda personnel and resources to individual areas. I am informed by them that having reviewed the position it is not proposed at present to allocate a sergeant to the Garda station in question.
The policing arrangements for the area are as set out in my reply to P.Q. No. 183 of 28 September, 1995.
