88 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for the Environment the position regarding the application by Dundalk UDC, County Louth, for approval to implement the north west drainage scheme, Farndreg storm drainage line; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5373/96]

Drainage proposals for the north west drainage area, which includes Farndreg, have been submitted to my Department in the context of the Dundalk main drainage scheme. My Department is continuing its examination of these proposals.
