Vol. 462 No. 8

Written Answers. - Differential Rent Scheme.

Liam Aylward

Question:

146 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for the Environment whether persons employed on a community employment scheme continue to be eligible under the differential rent scheme as administered by local authorities; and if so, his views on whether local authorities should increase the rent of persons employed on these schemes. [5671/96]

Local authorities were requested on 29 June 1994 to arrange that, where tenants' income is increased by participation in the community employment programme, their differential rent would not be increased as a result.
