Vol. 462 No. 8

Written Answers. - Caherciveen (Kerry) School.

John O'Donoghue

Question:

189 Mr. O'Donoghue asked the Minister for Education whether construction of the proposed second level school in Caherciveen, County Kerry, will commence this year; and if not the reason therefor. [5674/96]

The present position is that the County Kerry Vocational Education Committee's design team have been requested to prepare the developed sketch for the new community college at Caherciveen, County Kerry. It is understood from the vocational education committee that the scheme will be submitted to my Department in the coming weeks.

At this early stage of architectural planning I am not in a position to say precisely when construction will commence.
