Vol. 462 No. 8

Written Answers. - Government Representations.

Tony Gregory

Question:

60 Mr. Gregory asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs the representations, if any, he has made to the British authorities on behalf of persons (details supplied) in County Antrim. [5662/96]

I am aware of the case to which the Deputy refers and of the recent developments in the trial. Inquiries have been made through the framework of the Anglo-Irish Agreement regarding the current status of the case. I understand a date has yet to be set for the retrial of the individuals in question. I can assure the Deputy that my Department will continue to monitor developments in this case.
