187 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Defence the number of personnel by rank and crops in the first line reserve on 10 April 1996: the number who have been assigned to that line since April 1995; the number who have resigned from that line since April 1995; and if he will make a statement on the matter. 25 Officers and 16 personnel of non-commissioned rank were assigned to the first line reserve since April 1995. 11 Officers retired on age grounds an d 43 personnel of non-commissioned rank were discharged.
