Vol. 463 No. 8

Written Answers. - House Improvement Grant.

Austin Deasy

Question:

91 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for the Environment if he will examine the circumstances surrounding the disallowance of payment in respect of a house improvement grant for a person (details supplied) in County Waterford in view of the fact that all works were properly carried out but a technicality regarding the receipt of details of completion of works has prevented payment; and if he will have the case reviewed with a view to payment. [7335/96]

A grant cannot be paid in this case as, contrary to a statutory condition of the scheme, notification of completion of the approved works and a claim for payment of grant was not received by 31 May 1990, the final date for receipt of same.
