Question:150 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for the Marine whether funding will be provided for coastal erosion repair work at Tawin Island, Oranmore, County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7878/96]
Written Answers. - County Galway Coastal Erosion Funding.
As I previously indicated to the House on 6 March 1996, Parliamentary Question No. 42, the new proposals submitted by Galway County Council in relation to Tawin Island are being examined by the Department. If they are found to be acceptable they will be included among the projects to be considered for aid over the remaining years of the operational programme. It is unlikely that funds will be available in 1996.
